Yesterday, I didn’t run until 10 p.m. Now, that might sound really late, but it was still about 80 degrees and humid at that time, I just wasn’t battling the sun as well.
When I got home after that, I saw a beautiful piece of mail sitting on the counter for me. I got my official acceptance into the Twin Cities Marathon! Hurrah!
The last two nights, I’ve been out with a friend or two to get food. At each location, I have drained my water glass within 5 minutes of being seated. Gee, I guess I’m thirsty. That also means I need to drink more throughout the day.

Be careful running today, but you’re probably already aware of the air pollution warnings.

I guess there are supposed to be high levels of smog in the cities. They were warning for the old, young, those with respiratory ailments, and runners to be careful in their outdoor activities.

I heard about the air pollution warnings all the way up north! In Roseau we had a heavy fog until late morning. I think the dense humid air traps the pollution at a lower level. The radio advised against athletes and other outdoor workers from doing anything that caused them to breather heavier (like working out) until the air lightens. Do you have access to a tredmill? It might be wiser to save your lungs and run inside until the pollution warnings are lifted.

Oh wow, I had no idea, this is good to know.
Yeah, there’s a sports complex on campus. Andy gets sick when running indoors in the summer apparently so it’s like, choose the lesser of the two evils? Also, it might be another late(r) night for running. Eek, I’ll update on what happens.
